Trauma Therapy

Time: 50-55 minutes

Trauma therapy focuses on healing from recent or previous trauma, including physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. Our focus is on working through unhealthy relationships that have affected your life.

Adolescent Therapy

Time: 50-55 minutes

Through adolescent therapy, we can help teens with:

  • Improving their self-confidence & self-esteem

  • Emotion regulation skills

  • Negative self-talk

  • Anxiety coping strategies

  • Improving assertiveness

  • Effective communication strategies

 

Parent participation is an essential part of the adolescent therapy process. Our focus is on guiding parents in understanding the emotional needs of their children and providing effective communications skills.

  • How long is each therapy session?
    Our sessions are typically 50-55 minutes long. However, they may be longer depending on the circumstances, requirements, and therapy progress.
  • How long can I expect to be in therapy?
    The length of treatment is different for everyone. Some people choose to see a therapist for a short time (4-6 months), while others prefer to see one for about 1-2 years or for lifetime. We let our clients choose the best way to address their issues and needs based on their preferences and level of comfort.
  • What to expect in couples therapy?
    The first two sessions of couples therapy are spent with both partners present. The third session will consist of individual therapy for each partner. All subsequent sessions will be held in the presence of both participants.
  • What if we aren’t married yet? Is couples counseling still helpful?
    That's great. Couples counseling can help you handle problems in your relationship before you get married, regardless of your relationship status. Counseling can assist you in building a solid foundation for your future marriage. You and your partner can discuss your relationship's expectations and work on improving your communication skills. It's never too early to get help for your relationship.
  • Is it possible for my eleven-year-old child to attend adolescent therapy?
    No, we cannot provide counseling to children under twelve.
  • What is your rescheduling/cancellation/no-show policy?
    We recognize that there may be times when you need to cancel your therapy appointment for various reasons. Please reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 48 hours in advance if you are unable to attend. All no-shows and cancellations less than 48 hours in advance will result in the full charge of the session.
  • Where is your Rocklin office located and where can I park?
    Office Address: 5701 Lonetree Blvd, Suite 202F and 203F Rocklin, CA 95765 https://goo.gl/maps/MuqQ7fk695kzRDcP7 Our office is located in the Rocklin Professional Building. When you arrive, you will find free parking available all around the building. Please enter through the main entrance, take the elevator to the second floor, and turn left our offices are located in 202F and 203F. You will enter our waiting room and your therapist will meet you shortly. You will receive an email from your therapist about the location of your session prior to your appointment. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions.
  • Where is your Downtown Sacramento office located and where can I park?
    Office Address: 980 9th St Floor 16 Suite 9, Sacramento, CA 95814 https://goo.gl/maps/WqUP4SHLtXWH6WNq7 Our Downtown Sacramento office is located near César Chávez Plaza. To enter the building, please go to the entrance near the Sacramento Public Library. Upon entering, you will go up the left elevators to the 16th floor. A secretary will greet you and let us know of your arrival. Street parking is readily accessible around the building. For your convenience, there is also a parking garage with paid parking located across from the building entrance.   • Is it possible for you to see clients outside of California or Nevada?
    Because our licenses only permit us to practice in California and Nevada, we can only work with clients who live in those states. Furthermore, we can only see clients if they are physically present in California and Nevada at the time of the session. If you are not a California or Nevada resident, please cancel your appointment as soon as possible to avoid a late cancellation fee.
  • Do you offer in-person therapy in Nevada?
    At this time, we have two in-person locations in the state of California. We only offer virtual therapy to Nevada residents.
  • How do I access virtual sessions?
    The link to your virtual appointment will be sent 10 minutes before your session. You can use a laptop, computer, smartphone, or tablet. Please download the Simple Practice app before our session if you are using a mobile device.
  • When will I receive my appointment reminder?
    The Simple Practice platform will send you an email reminder 24 hours before your appointment. The link to a virtual appointment will be sent 10 minutes before your session.
  • What is the cost of your services?
    The length of the therapy session determines the cost. The regular therapy session cost is $190. Adolescent therapy: The initial appointment for adolescents and their families is 90 minutes long and costs $ 285.
  • What insurance do you take?
    We accept cash and credit cards as a form of payment. We do not take insurance plans at this time. You may be able to request reimbursement for services provided by out-of-network providers if your insurance coverage allows it. The full fee of the service will remain your responsibility, but we can provide you with a superbill. Please coordinate with your insurance provider to learn more. We do accept HSA/FSA cards.
  • What type of payment do you accept?
    We accept cash and credit cards as forms of payment. We do not take insurance plans at this time.
  • How are you taking COVID precautions?
