"Do you know what you are?
You are unique.
In all the world, there is no child exactly like you."
You notice your adolescent has become more sensitive, irritable, or has suddenly snapped out at you or other family members for no apparent reason. They may be having issues with school or peer pressure, making them feel lonely or withdrawn. Perhaps, your family faces several difficulties affecting your child and yourself, but you are not sure how to cope with or discuss these challenges. It's difficult to watch your child suffer, but it's even more painful to watch them suffer in silence while not knowing how to help.
We are here to help.
If you feel lost, overwhelmed, or unclear about how to support your adolescent, we want to help you. In Healing Den Counseling, we are here to offer a safe space for you and your children. We strive to teach your adolescents various coping skills that will aid them in better expressing themselves, communicating their needs and feelings more effectively, and promoting growth.
Adolescent therapy is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on adolescents' emotional and behavioral problems. It also emphasizes the importance of strengthening parenting skills for parents to support their children.
The main goal is not necessarily to “fix the issues” and move on but to assist your child in identifying their strengths, recovering self-awareness, and rebuilding self-esteem. At the same time, together, we will work on helping them transition to the next stage in their lives.
